The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it truly is alarmed concerning the substantial range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area regularly. The provider issue created for intervention experiences a higher inflow sassa of potential beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
